The Contract Safety and Compliance Coordinator will have the opportunity to demonstrate their previous expertise with Oil & Gas operations and safety by partnering with a cross functional Leadership team to provide support and guidance in the Kirby South and North (Kirby) District.

Key Accountabilities:

Steward and promote implementing and utilizing Safety Management System (SMS)

Be a champion of Safety while promoting and ensuring a consistent application of the SMS

Review and steward the incident report process amongst the Kirby district, conduct incident investigations and participate in root cause analysis

Inspect facilities – rigs – pipeline construction & ground disturbance activities, and take part in Worksite Safety Observations (WSO's) of service providers, consultants and operations

Evaluate incident, near miss, inspections and WSO data, identify and effectively communicate trends

Conduct testing, evaluations and provide recommendations in relation to industrial hygiene and the mitigation of worker exposure to chemical & harmful substances

Participate in project planning meetings, area safety meetings, and pre-job safety meetings and conduct periodic field – facility and project tours to promote a safe working environment in all field areas. Be an approachable and supportive safety presence throughout the Kirby District

Provide coaching to leadership by identifying opportunities for safety culture improvement

Facilitate Emergency Response Plan training and exercises including tabletop and major drills

Fly in-Fly out

7X7 schedule Tuesday to Tuesday

  • Having a background in Oil & Gas operations as an operator is an asset
  • Approachable, personable, display strength in ability to work together and achieve results
  • Sincere and possess ability to adjust personality and communication style to that best suited for the situation or audience
  • Highly motivated, organized and maintains a personal accountability to deliver on expectations with minimal supervision and transparent communications
  • Data analysis and computer skills are required.

Contract length: 12 months

Salary: $44.00-$70.00 per hour

  • 10 hour shift

Experience:

  • HSE in O&G: 7 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CRSP, CSO, NCSO, CSS or CHSO (preferred)
