A Warehouse Supervisor within our company will work together with our team members to assure all objectives and goals of the warehouse facilities are met and exceeded. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for preparing and supervising staff during all shipping/receiving and general duty tasks. As well, ensuring shipping/receiving reports are completed, maintaining warehouse space efficiency, resolve inventory discrepancies and provide support to administration staff, while abiding by standards of safety and productivity.
Position Responsibilities:
· At Active Warehousing Inc. we highly value team morale and encourage cross-functional collaboration between management and operations, by doing so we obtain open line of communication regarding best practices and procedure
· Provide leadership and mentorship to staff and ensure policies/procedures/practices are being followed
· Oversee and coordinate shipping/receiving requirements with carriers to meet on time arrivals/departures
· Ensure orders are being processed effectively and are meeting customer timescales and requirements
· Work with Operations Manager to establish priorities and meet objectives
· Manage staffing levels for daily workload requirements to ensure the daily work schedule is being completed
· Oversee performance evaluation of forklift operators performing loading/unloading
· Develop comprehensive knowledge of product/material coming into and leaving the facility
· Ensure proper inventory procedures are being followed and all storage supply is accounted for
· Be involved in daily/weekly/monthly team meetings
· Lead by example
Skills/Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years of work experience in a warehouse environment, preferably management-type setting
· Ability to motivate and initiate
· Have excellent time organizational, management, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to multi-task while work in a fast-paced environment
· Able to meet physical job requirements, such as lifting various objects up to 50#, operate forklifts, and cover a large volume of walking inside, as well as yard of, warehouse
· Ability to effectively communicate and interact with other business units to develop and build strong working relationships
· Strong computer skills an asset
