Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000
Hours: 37.5/Week

Summary
The Junior IT Support Specialist is a member of PanGlobal's IT Services Team. The position is for an entry-level IT Support Specialist who will be responsible for various user support requests, assisting help desk calls, onsite troubleshooting, an installation as well as assisting IT team members when required. They will be able to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and in a team environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to incoming related IT requests
- Maintain computer systems and act as a support for any system issues
- Install, configure, and upgrade PC software
- Maintain user PC's including upgrades and configuration as needed
- Assist with onboarding of new users
- Assist in maintaining centrally-managed equipment and services
- Maintain technical documentation and service catalogue on installation of software
- Serve as the first person contact for team members / customers seeking technical assistance through our desk support
- Troubleshoot, debug existing applications
- Direct unresolved issues to the next lever of support personnel
- Record events / problems / resolutions in logs
- Maintain support documentation for both end-users and for the IT team's use
- Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Knowledge of basic network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP. HTTP)
- Knowledge of basic network functionality (file shares, VPN, Intranet)
- Post-Secondary education in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent related work experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in English
