Jardeg is currently seeking Skilled Labourers to join our LDP Maintenance Services team at the IOL Kearl site near Fort Mackay, Alberta.
Skilled Labourers assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.
Skilled Labourers will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Cleaning of company vehicles and/or equipment
- Loading, unloading, identifying, and distributing materials and equipment
- Cleaning and preparation of construction components (Modules, Process equipment etc.)
- Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Ask required questions and take the required direction to ensure that work is accomplished safely
- Understand and follow the Company's safety management system and core values
- Maintain all company tools and equipment to the required standards
- Foster a cooperative and positive work atmosphere
This is a fly-in/fly-out position and as such will be subject to the Government of Canada's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements:As per Federal guidelines, as of December 1st, 2021, anyone who is to board a charter flight must be able to provide proof of full vaccination (+14 days). Please ensure you bring proof with you to the flight center and allow for at least 2 hours prior to flight departure.Additionally, anyone accessing the IOL Kearl Site will also require full vaccination (full course plus 14 days) required on or before February 15, 2022.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Previous construction experience
- Physical strength and stamina
- Manual dexterity
- Safety conscious attitude
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
- First Aid – Standard Level Certification
- Fit Test
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work with others in a team
- Ability to work at heights
- A valid Driver's License
- Confined Space Entry Level 1 & 2
- Working around heavy mining equipment and mine driving experience an asset but not mandatory
