YYC Freight Services is a well-established Calgary based company offering warehousing, ground handling and transportation services to the freight forwarding community, direct shippers, as well as the aviation industry. Located at the Calgary International Airport with direct access to tarmac (air side), we are perfectly situated to service our clients on and off the airport.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Full Time Airline Cargo Office Agent. The position is an early morning shift from 6:00 until 15:00 Wednesdays to Sundays.
Responsibilities include:
- Must be able to work shift work, weekends, and statutory holidays when required
- Handling various forms of communication with our customers and interacting with them in person, on the phone, and via e-mail
- Make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution
- Helping to assist other office staff with the day to day workflow
- Accepting cargo as it arrives to our warehouse and completing proper acceptance procedures in the airline handling systems as required
- Responding quickly to customer requests and inquiries in a friendly manner and ensuring appropriate action is taken. Continually following up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Complying with regulations (Customs/Security/Transport Canada/IATA)
- Preparing cargo for export and processing import cargo as required
- Ensuring that we maintain effective communication and that our service standards are upheld
- Strong and effective communication with all other departments
- Ensures Health and Safety standards and rules are both met and adhered to
- Deliver high quality service to customers
- Perform any other duties as required
The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Organized & extremely detail oriented
- Must have exceptional typing and data entry skills
- Must be a dynamic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Must be able to pick up new concepts and learn new systems quickly
- Must have a relatively flexible schedule and be willing to work additional hours when required
- Must be proficient in computers with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Refined verbal and written communication skills and excellent knowledge of English
- Must have previous customer service experience
- Must be able to adapt and work in a diverse culture and environment

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
