This competition will be used to fill current and future vacancies for temporary and permanent Human Resource Business Partner positions.

As the HR Business Partner for an assigned client portfolio, you will provide HR expertise to your clients by coordinating, advising and providing strategic direction on a variety of human resource functions. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will focus on workforce initiatives and people management, as well as supporting workforce related initiatives. In order to be effective in this role, you will have a proven track record of fostering and maintaining collaborative relationships with operational leaders, HR service partners, and Union representatives. You are adaptable, able to prioritize and multi-task in an environment that changes quickly. Success as an HRBP will require you to work through challenging employee/labour relations issues. You bring with you a strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, and interpretation of a collective agreement. You will also provide consultation on talent acquisition, job evaluation/organizational design, HR metrics and data, and organization effectiveness.

Qualifications

A post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area supplemented with a minimum of two years of directly related experience. Experience in areas such as: HR Business Partner/HR Generalist or HR Specialist in the field of Employee/Labour Relations, and/or Organization Development & Effectiveness is required.

Equivalencies will be accepted on the basis of a related two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and a minimum of four years directly related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and a minimum of five years directly related experience.

Salary

$2,524.91 to $3,462.47 bi-weekly ($65,900 to $90,370/year)

Notes

Candidates may be considered at a lower classification and salary. This competition will be used to fill future vacancies at the HR2 and HR1 levels.



Position Terms:
In addition to permanent opportunities, there are also temporary positions with various terms.



Location:
Primarily Edmonton. Some positions may be considered in areas outside of the Edmonton-metro area.



Hours of Work:
7.25 hours per day / 36.25 hours per week
