The Legal Researcher will supply legal advice and expertise under direct supervision of a principal lawyer across broad legal areas including corporate/commercial and litigation. Assist the Legal team with miscellaneous tasks required for our day to day operations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide research and draft related memorandums in a myriad of legal areas
- Provide administrative assistance to Legal Counsel and legal services department
- Provide assistance and support on basic contracting and procurement
- Assess and provide assistance in review of statutory changes in areas concerning employment and labour law
- Manage department files for Legal Counsel
- Document preparation under the supervision of Legal Counsel
- Maintain highly confidential records and prepare related reports, including confidential employment and labour relations files under the direction of Legal Counsel
Education Required:
- Currently attending a Canadian law school and entering either second or third year of LL.B. / J.D. program in September 2022
Qualifications & Experience:
- Understanding of basic legal concepts
- Highly developed research and writing skills
- Familiarity with electricity and/or gas energy transactions and administrative law would be considered an asset

Salary: Administrator, Level D (CUPE 2022 rates)
$63,759.33 -$67,726.93 - $71,714.37 - $75,701.81 - $79,689.25

Location: Although this role primarily works at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB), for now you'll be required to work remotely.
