Position Responsibilities
The Donald School of Business, Science, and Technology is seeking a Statistics and Mathematics instructor for a full-time Continuous Probationary position commencing on August 5th, 2022.
The successful candidate will instruct multiple courses in statistics and mathematics to students in all years of our Bachelor of Science degree as well as to students in a variety of Red Deer Polytechnic programs. They will be expected to engage in scholarship and contribute to research supervision at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate in service to the department, the institution, and/or the community.
The Donald School of Business, Science, and Technology seeks faculty members with ongoing engagement in their academic and professional fields and a passion for teaching. The successful responsibilities of faculty include:
- supporting the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles
- assessing student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards
- contributing to course and program curriculum development and renewal
- engaging in scholarly activity within the domains of Ernest Boyer's model: scholarship of discovery, application, integration, and teaching
- working collegially within department, School, or College committees and project teams
- promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigenization in all aspects of working and learning and Red Deer Polytechnic
Faculty may be required to teach on campus and/or online (with synchronous or asynchronous instruction). All faculty may be required to attend on campus meetings and events.
