The main role of this position is to provide exceptional customer service, including but not limited to:
- Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Checking patients in/out
- Answering phones
- Processing payments
- Calling clients re: reminders & updates
- Scheduling appointments and consultations
Other duties include:
· Handle incoming and outgoing email
· Create, print/send invoices and other documents
· Issue prescribed medication as directed
· Consult with doctors on call-in inquiries and emergency appointments
· Monitor inventory, advise purchaser of stock needs
· Data entry and paperwork completion
· Update patient charts and records
· Maintain cleanliness/sanitizing of reception and waiting area, supplies and equipment
Applicants must be available to work periodic Saturdays.
Prerequisites: This role requires enrollment in, or completion of, a Veterinary Office Assistant or Veterinary Receptionist program.
Full-time hours: 40 per week
