Baker Tilly Rockies LLP is looking for candidates to fill our Accounting Technician and Staff Accountant positions. These candidates will have recent accounting experience to contribute to our Firm in delivering the primarily accounting, tax and the wide range of business advisory services we provide. Your primary responsibilities will include:
In our tax focused firm, you will primarily prepare Notice to Reader reports, and corporate and personal income tax returns, all while ensuring time budgets and file deadlines are met. With consistent challenge in the level of work, you will develop your skills in:
- Understanding client's business, identifying and resolving accounting and tax issues;
- Adding value to our existing clients on engagements and their business in general;
- Creating time efficiencies and managing multiple deadlines;
- Contributing to the maintenance of our positive team dynamic with all levels of staff and management.
A successful candidate will have:
- Recent public practice Firm work experience (preferred);
- Sound knowledge of tax compliance (an asset);
- A working knowledge of Caseware Financials, Taxprep, and QuickBooks (an asset);
- Effective communication skills;
- Technical skills in tax and advisory services, specifically in corporate and personal income tax return and Notice to Reader preparation (an asset);
- A dedication to client service;
- A desire to share knowledge, and continously learn throughout your career with BTR.
