Receptionist
Main Purpose of the Job:
The position requires a practical knowledge of the standard procedures and terminology used in an animal clinic. It requires excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly outgoing demeanor, and the willingness to be a team member. Considerable tact and diplomacy are necessary.
Reports to:
Office Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
To be successful as a veterinary receptionist, ensure that our office always remains presentable. Providing accurate information to inquires from clients and other members of the public.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answering phones in a timely manner
- Checking clients in and out
- Billing and invoicing
· Administrative duties
· Scheduling appointments appropriately
· Expected to participate in any/all aspects of animal care
· Clean and stock rooms
· Maintain a clean and clutter-free workspace
Qualifications:
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Have a strong ability to problem solve and adapt to new and challenging situations
Qualifications include:
- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year
- Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
Working Conditions:
Professional and progressive animal practice.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of the job require to be able to help lift animals onto exam tables or be able to handle a large breed dog. Sections which may need to be referenced are listed below:

Salary: Starting at $18-$20 an hour depending on experience.
