Medical Aesthetician / Laser Technician at RejuvaDERM Cosmetic Dermatology & Laser
RejuvaDERM is a cosmetic and medical Dermatology practice in Edmonton Alberta.

A Medical Aesthetician / Laser Technician at RejuvaDERM must havegreat customer service skills as well as keen attention to detail. This position entails a diversity of duties, from operating lasers for pigmentation and hair removal to chemical peels and facials. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our dermatologists. You will complete* in-house training to use cosmetic lasers for a variety of skin care applications.*
You must have a willingness to learn and participate in educational courses to keep your knowledge current as cosmetic laser technology advances.
Employment Type: We are seeking to fill full-time (35-40 hours a week), and part-time (15-30 hours a week) positions. Wages are competitive.
Work hours will vary between Monday and Saturday.
Qualifications:
- Criminal record check with no prior felonies
- High-school diploma
- Post-secondary is preferred but not essential
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Assist with cosmetic injections and assisting all providers with patient care as needed
- Evaluating the skin care concerns of clients and conferring with a medical doctors or other supervisor to develop the best treatment plan for clients
- Performing cosmetic procedures (laser hair removal, chemical peels, silk peels, facials, Coolsculpting, micro-needling, laser tattoo removal, pulse dye laser, laser for pigmentation, HydraFacials, etc.)
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Social media/emails correspondent (updating Facebook, Instagram, responding to emails)
- Cleaning medical instruments and equipment
- Duties of receptionist when needed
Hospitality Responsibilities:
- Escorting patients from the waiting area to exam rooms
- Making the patients feel comfortable and welcome
- Reviewing handouts/information with patients and educating cosmetic patients of their procedure and answer questions when needed
Key Skillset & Experience:
We would prefer if you have experience in the cosmetic industry and/or experience with laser technologies. You must be professional, hardworking, energetic and understand patient confidentiality, and want to learn new and exciting treatment modalities. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must as well as a strong understanding for attention to detail. The knowledge and ability to produce high quality social media content is essential for success in this position.
