ROLE
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be a part of the Benchmark International Engineering Team providing Engineering support to all the divisions within the Benchmark International portfolio. As a company operating under the ISO principles, we strive for on-time and in-full delivery to satisfy the needs of our customers. We are also committed to continuous improvement of our products and processes. This role will be instrumental in helping ensure that our products continuously improve as technical capability is optimized and customer expectations rise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop mechanical designs and documentation in support of the company's product suite.
- Specificatioins for mechanical and/or electromechanical components
- Support Product improvement projects
- Develop performance specifications for mechanical designs, build prototypes and perform evaluation testing.
- Develop prototypes as required to achieve performance specifications.
- Prepare documentation required to build, configure, and operate the finished product, including process documents and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical support to other company departments.
- Develop manufacturing equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
- Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing product performance results.

- Knowledge of the basic office software (MS Office etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- P.Eng. designation (or pursuing P.Eng. designation)
- Member in good standing with APEGA
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 0-5 years of previous related experience an asset, but not required for the right candidate
