Sockeye Modular Installations has multiple positions open for Carpenter and Construction Labourers to provide construction services in remote locations.

Start Date: Immediate.

Shifts: 21 days remote, 7 days rest

Hours: 10-12 hours days, overtime offered

Job Type: Contract with possibility of permanent

Role Responsibilities

  • Complete installations, renovations and dismantling of modular structures (accommodations, commercial, residential, offices and support equipment)
  • Work both indoors and outdoors
  • Work independently and/or as part of a crew

Role Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of construction experience; Carpentry training is an asset
  • Flexible to work remote locations for extended periods of time
  • Have the ability to safely lift 50lbs.
  • Have the ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, crouching, and/or kneeling for long periods through the day
  • Have the capacity to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on season
  • The ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Able to provide your own hands tools
  • OSSA Fall Protection is an asset, any other Safety/Equipment certificates are considered an asset

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Overtime

  • Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
