We have an opening for a Process EIT to join our Engineering and Projects Team at our Joffre Site in Central Alberta, near Red Deer. As a new graduate in a Process Engineering role, you will be exposed to various facilities on site and have the opportunity to develop detailed knowledge on the operation of a petrochemical plant.

What You Will Be Doing:
You will be provided with growth opportunities through training and special projects where new graduates are mentored to ensure continuous development and a rewarding experience. You will participate in our new grad program for the first approximately 18 months of employment which includes rotating through multiple areas in our manufacturing site. Typical rotations are in our Ethylene or Polyethylene plants and Utilities & Off-plots groups.

In this role you will provide Process engineering support to a specified facility, working closely with operations, maintenance, and other technical disciplines under the direct supervision and mentor of a Professional Engineer. Normal responsibilities for this role may include process simulations, equipment troubleshooting, data analysis and process trending, risk assessments, and facility change management.

What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent, typically with 1 to 2 years of related engineering experience. Registered EIT with relevant provincial association is highly desirable.

Excellent organization and communication skills work hand-in-hand with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Self-motivated individual with good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to safety

This role requires up to 10% travel
In order to fulfil the duties of this role, the successful candidate will be required to wear respiratory protective equipment. Candidate must successfully pass a fit test and be physically able to wear a respirator
The successful candidate is required to provide proof of a valid driver's license
