We are seeking a contractor for a Social Media Coordinator (Hybrid) position. In this position, you would report to the Director & Clinic Manager, and serve the team by promoting and marketing for McAtee Psychology. You would also be cross-trained to provide administrative support on a case-by-case basis.

Role: Social Media Coordinator (Hybrid)

  • Minimum of 20 hours/weekly with an opportunity to work up to 35 hours/weekly.
  • Must be able to provide a large proportion of these hours from Monday - Friday
  • Any adjustment of hours will be discussed with you before any long-term adjustments.
  • A rate of $23-28/hour will be provided for this position.
  • The wage and the ability to transition to an employee position with benefits can be negotiated/discussed based on successful performance and ability in the role.

Required Experience/Competencies:

  • Applicants must be based in Alberta
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience in (1) marketing, social, psychology, social media and/or (2) media healthcare administration, business administration, health services administration or similar field.
  • Comfortable working remotely utilizing the following tools: Google Drive, Google Chat,

Google Ads, Canva, Monday, Hootsuite

  • Knowledge in the social media landscape is key. You are self-motivated, stay up to date on the latest trends, love editing images and videos using various apps on your phone, enjoy curating a cohesive feed, and have a personal interest in social media.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage and meet deadlines.
  • Hard worker, energetic, resourceful and proactive with superior interpersonal skills. You should be a natural self-starter, hardworking and ambitious.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities may include:

  • Adhere to a Social Media & Marketing Calendar, creating imagery and video well in advance of the scheduled post-date. Be prepared to quickly capture short-term trending concepts.
  • Production of content on some of the following social media platforms: Instagram,

Linkedin, Youtube, TikTok, Facebook

  • Provide recommendations for future content creation based on current social media performance and trends
  • Monitor and submit analytics weekly after posting, identifying areas of success and areas of improvement.
  • Be constantly learning and staying up to date on the latest social media app updates.

Willing to use and learn new emerging platforms. You will also be able to take part in social media, marketing & styling workshops.

Secondary Duties/Responsibilities may include:

  • *Providing administrative support on a case-by-case basis (e.g., vacations, holidays)
  • *Administrative duties may include the following: communicating with clients (e.g., email, phone calls); networking with other organizations; consulting with future clients; networking with different mental health agencies; billing clients for services; consultation with prospective clients

Experience with the following will be an asset:

  • Administrative experience in a healthcare facility or clinic.
  • A passion and interest in mental health advocacy and promotion
  • Familiarity with online technology such as Jane App, Google Drive, Monday, Hootsuite, and Social Media Platforms
  • Personal or work-related experience in the mental health field.
