A day in the life:
- Supports the Project Manager on assigned work
- Assisting in the planning, scheduling and estimating of design engineering effort on projects from the conception of project design to issue for construction drawings
- Assist in the control of expenditures on projects and man hour control
- Participate in reviewing designs and vendor drawings to ensure conformity with project specifications, company practices and good engineering practices
- Monitoring design changes and contract extras for development of change/trend notices
- Score of work may include review of P&ID's, plot plans, isometrics, etc.
- Assist in development of DBM's, charters, scope of work and execution plans
- Assist in the development of project reports for issue to client
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- Recent graduate from a Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering degree
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- You are able to receive instructions and articulate any gaps in your understanding and knowledge
- You have problem solving skills, and enjoy working in a team to find solutions to technical problems
- You have a desire to understand the codes and standards that are used in engineering design
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and work well with a team
