Summary:
Our Software Development Engineering Intern partners with Product, Engineering and Design teams to deliver new features and enhancements for fabric's new eCommerce platform. This position focuses on providing eCommerce and related technology expertise to design, develop, and support on-line, customer facing, eCommerce products.
You have learned the theory behind algorithms, data structures, networks, UX, or databases and are craving some hands-on experience. Your projects, Github, portfolio or previous internship/co-op experience display your passion. You'll be working alongside an agile team of developers, testers, and a product manager to complete features making development easier and or customers happier. You'll participate in code reviews, develop strong clean coding standards, and write well tested code.
Responsibilities:
- Implement some features of high performance scalable data centric serverless microservices or implement some components of a futuristic user friendly ecommerce UI
- Partake in continuous improvement and fine tuning of API performance, scalability and security
- Learn to design, code, and test features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
- Flexible approach to analyzing technical issues and clearly communicating recommendations/solutions
- Some exposure agile development methodologies are nice to have
- Will be expected to work with moderate to little supervision and resourceful
- Collaborate with the scrum team to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance code
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
- Support testing and deployment of new products and features
Qualifications:
- 0-1 years of Software Development professional experience including educational/personal projects
- Knowledge and understanding of Web Application technologies and techniques -
- Projects or coursework or a combination of both displaying skill in front-end or back-end development
- Experience or willingness to learn/work with React or JavaScript based frameworks
- Experience or willingness to learn/work with Node.js, MongoDB
- Experience of willingness to learn AWS Cloud and Serverless Framework
- Experience using GIT in a team environment.
- Experience designing and developing web applications.
- Interest and ability to learn new technologies.
