Job Title Administrative Support II - Faculty of Fine Arts
Position DetailsThe University of Lethbridge Faculty of Fine Arts is accepting applications for a full-time, 2-year term, Administrative Support II commencing July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2024.
This position is responsible for providing administrative support for both the Department of Music and the Department of New Media and is considered a key position within the frontline operations of the Faculty. This position provides general reception in-person and via telephone and online communication, and responds to basic questions and inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and the public.
This position conducts a variety of general administrative tasks that include, but are not limited to, scheduling department meetings, preparing meeting agendas, recording accurate meeting minutes, filing and maintaining department records, and updating information on department webpages. This position also ensures daily organization, preparation, and maintenance of documents directly related to the programs of both Music and New Media, and assists with supporting Dean's Office tasks and activities as necessary.
Reporting to the Faculty of Fine Arts Operations Manager, the successful candidate will have experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced educational environment, and has proven customer service experience to provide friendly and effective support to all students, faculty and staff in the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Please note an internal candidate currently working in the role in an acting capacity will be applying for this position.
Position Qualifications
  • College diploma, or equivalent combination of years of experience and education
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working with various software applications, including Microsoft and Adobe, and comfort learning new applications as necessary.
  • Proven ability to learn and work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups including students, faculty, staff, members of the broader university community, and the general public
  • Background which includes knowledge of music and fine arts is an asset

Hiring Range $3,640.00 - $4,050.00 monthly
