We are hiring an Arts & Culture Co-Conspirator.
Love serving others? Making someone smile? Great at giving restaurant and entertainment advice and directions in your area? Our Arts and Culture Co-Conspirator is similar to a concierge with one big difference. You will be the local expert on the arts in and around downtown Calgary.
The hotel concierge is an essential role at any full-service hotel. You are the go-to person the guest will come to for ideas on making their visit the most it can be. Armed with the knowledge of the area's best-, make their stay memorable for years to come.
You will also be the resident expert on all things to do with Calgary's vibrant arts scene. Your duties will include liaising with local artists, musicians and organizations to build awareness of our hotel. In addition, you will oversee arts-related activations and initiatives on behalf of the hotel.
The Role:
Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by arranging or identifying appropriate providers. Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction. Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities. Contact appropriate individuals or departments (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest requests or problems. Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
