The Opportunity:
Canadian Natural Resources has an excellent opportunity for an Advisor, Health & Wellness to join our Calgary team. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will provide admin support to the North American Operations Health and Safety team. The Advisor, Health & Wellness is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and on-going evaluation of employee health programs and disability management initiatives throughout the Conventional/Thermal areas. Providing advisory services and acting as a key resource to leadership and employees on health and wellness management, along with emerging community health concerns. Key Accountabilities:
- Provide consultation, support, guidance and clinical expertise to employees on physical and mental health matters, with a goal to reduce absences and support a reduction in Short Term Disability claims. Make referrals to community agencies as necessary
- Consult and advise leadership and employees on potential health risks involving exposure to chemical, biological, physical and psychosocial hazards. Identify health needs and establish appropriate monitoring processes
- Conduct health assessments, immunization clinics, occupational blood/body fluid exposure follow up and infectious disease contact tracings
- Participate and contribute to the development of individual RTW plans and ensure the process and outcomes are evaluated
- Identify systemic barriers to RTW and assist departments to identify suitable transition work for ill/injured employees
- Provide application of best practices in regard to the handling of employee health matters and emerging community health concerns
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted resource in health promotion/disease prevention and risk mitigation within the organization

Skills & Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse and practicing member of the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta is required
- Prefer diploma in Occupational Health Nursing, working towards achieving or willing to register
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in Occupational Health Nursing preferred, Oil and Gas industry knowledge as asset
- Microsoft Office skills are required
- Experience and knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Health Information Act, WCB Act and Regulations and Privacy Act.
- Experience with working with highly confidential information
