Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master's degree with expertise in English and/or communication. * Demonstrated excellent planning and organizational skills. * Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. preferred. * Prior post-secondary teaching experience is an asset. * Preference will be given to candidates who are qualified to teach in more than one discipline at the University level.

The School of University Studies, Career Programs and Academic Upgrading requires an Instructor, University Studies – Arts and Humanities. The successful candidate will be responsible for lectures for first- and second-year university English and communication courses. This position will be required to design/revise/update courses, in consultation with the Chair, faculty, other universities, advisory committees, potential employers, and students. Other responsibilities include carrying out regularly scheduled instructions, ensuring student awareness of course objective and evaluation techniques, and defining, evaluating, and validating learning outcomes. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in both Departmental and College affairs, particularly with respect to recruitment, tutoring, and academic advising of students as required.
Advertised Salary
$71,785.48 to $121,523.99/annum (Based upon educational and experiential qualifications, plus an attractive benefits package).
