A day in the life:
- You'll be using your expertise to complete field quality control inspections and verification
- You have the experience, knowledge and ability to read and understand civil earthworks design drawings
- You will be managing relationships with internal and external clients and ensuring that their needs are understood and met, providing your guidance and expertise.
- You have basic surveying knowledge and fundamentals
- You will communicate and work with contractors to remedy deficiencies
- You will work safely around large heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, rock trucks)
- You will provide field safety leadership to co-workers and contractors
- You will work with surveyors to complete as-built drawing
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- You enjoy fieldwork and like to work autonomously – think the opposite of your standard 9-5 desk job! This is a field based position requiring travel.to and from site on 2 week on; 2 week off rotations. Typical workdays while on site are 12 hours in duration.
- 3 to 5 years of civil technologist experience
- Minimum civil technology diploma
- Civil3D experience required
