Reporting to the shift supervisor, primary extraction, you will perform duties associated with safe, and efficient operation in the assigned work area to meet our operational objectivesMinimum Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in plant operations; experience in heavy oil processing, sour gas processing, water treatment/power plants or refinery operations
• Part A of 4th Class Power Engineering certification or higher is an asset
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Possess a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical aptitude to allow the hands-on operation of plant equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets
• Adaptive work style to handle multiple priorities and challenging demands, and function in a positive but dynamic work environment
• Highly motivated self-starter that collaborate with others and maintain positive relationships across different teams
• Make decisions with integrity in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value

Location and other Key Details:

• This position has been identified as safety sensitive
• This position is located at our Base Plant location in Fort McMurray, AB
• The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts)
• You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
