ABOUT OUR STORE:
Home Hardware Building Centres offer a complete range of hardware store and building centre products. Lumber, tools, paint, plumbing and electrical supplies and an extensive selection of building materials are available, along with housewares, sporting goods, automotive items and lawn and garden supplies.
JOB DUTIES:
In addition to receiving the regular order that comes in once a week, our receiver coordinates all the special demands and online orders. These orders allow us to offer a much more comprehensive selection of products than what we can fit in our store and make up a significant portion of our sales, so making sure the right products go to the right customers is crucial for our store's success. Our receiver also processes claims and performs other tasks as required.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We prefer an individual with some experience working in a receiving or hardware/building environment but are willing to train the right candidate.
- Computers: There's way more to receiving than just unloading boxes! You'll be using computers regularly, and you must be extremely comfortable with them.
- Heavy lifting: Unloading boxes is a big part of the job! This is a physically demanding position, so we need someone capable of lifting 50lb. It would help if you also were comfortable working in hot/cold environments.
- Personality: We need a quick learner who enjoys working with others and troubleshooting problems.
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with weekend availability required.
