Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Media Buying Specialist on a permanent basis. This position can be located at our Home Office in Saskatoon, SK or any of our Zone Offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, or Winnipeg.

What you'll do:
As part of FCL's recently created marketing vision that includes empowering local Co-op marketers, you will lead the development and execution of the overarching Digital Marketing Strategy for media buys for FCL and the CRS.
Media Buying Strategy & Execution
- You will develop an annual, comprehensive media buying strategy in collaboration with both Ag and Commercial Marketing Managers, Consumer Marketing Managers, the Marketing Management Team, and other stakeholders on brand buys.
- You will lead FCL marketing for media buying and advertising sponsorships.
- You will lead the planning and tracking of advertising sponsorships with the purpose of promotion.
- You will execute media buys, including placing buys and coordinating specs and artwork between vendors and the FCL Marketing Team.
Advisor to Local Co-ops
- You will serve as an advisor to local Co-op marketers on media buying and help to set a standard for and create a central story around the Co-op Brand.
- You will find opportunities for collaboration between FCL and local Co-op media buying to help achieve significant savings and efficiencies and reduce overlapping media buying.
Research & Analysis
- You will lead and conduct research on media buying trends.
- You will lead the development of educating the department and stakeholders of opportunities and updating media buys based on trends researched.
External Relationship Management
- You will act as a key liaison with digital marketing and other marketing agencies as required for media buying.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Strategy & Communications and:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business Administration, or a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Journalism, etc.). An affiliation with marketing and communications professional bodies is an asset.
- You have 6-9 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in Media buying.(a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
- You, preferably, have a background in retail customer service and/or client relations.
- You, preferably, have an understanding of database management and of the co-operative business model.
- You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
